Alisha Fowler, BA
Director of Operations

Alisha works closely with the CEO managing all business operations, including strategy and policy, finances, quality assurance on projects, and people (including human resources). Alisha has a BA in Sociology and over a decade of senior management experience with a large corporation.

Jana George, MA
Research Associate

Jana is a Research Associate with SISCO and a member of Kettle & Stony Point First Nation (KSP), who brings strong research, analysis, writing and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in working respectfully with Indigenous communities, organizations and their partners on complex projects. Jana has a B.A. in First Nations Studies from Western University and an M.A. from the University of Waterloo in Public Service. Jana is passionate about working with First Nations communities to create positive change through research, planning and policy development.

Bryanne Smart, MPEd
Research Associate

Bryanne is a Research Associate with SISCO and a member of Six Nations of the Grand River. She brings a BA in Political Science, MPEd in Aboriginal Leadership and ten years of experience working directly with First Nations peoples, organizations and communities in both educational leadership and law. Bryanne is a strong leader and fierce advocate for First Nations education and community work.

Russell Evans, PhD
Research Associate

Russell’s Indigenous heritage has roots in both Temagami First Nation (Bear Island) and Matachewan First Nation, and he identifies as both Anishnaabe and European. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Kinesiology, an MBA specializing in Managerial Accounting, a Master’s degree in Behavioural Accounting, and a PhD in Behavioural and Social Accounting. He is passionate about promoting First Nation community economic development.

Tehya Quachegan
Research Assistant

Tehya is an Ililiwiskwew from Moose Cree First Nation and grew up in Thunder Bay, Ontario and a Research Assistant with SISCO. She is also currently in her 4th year at Western University completing a double major in Psychology and Indigenous Studies. Tehya is passionate about building supports for Indigenous peoples, especially the youth.

Joette Lefebvre, PhD (ABD)
Research Assistant

Joette is a Research Assistant with SISCO, who is originally from the Omushkegowuk fly-in community of Peawanuck, the second most northern settlement in Ontario. Joette is currently completing her PhD in Critical Policy and Educational Leadership Studies. She has a BA in Sociology and a Masters in teaching, and is passionate about Indigenous education, and culture and language revitalization.

Adam Sisco, BSc
Programmer, Web Developer

Adam is a programmer with over a decade and a half of professional experience, including extensive work with First Nations communities. Adam is the programmer behind several SISCO products, including: the online economic toolkit, online community consultation tool, and First Nation lifelong learning data blueprint. Adam has a degree in computer science and a strong background in applied mathematics from Western University.

Shawn Savage
Office Manager

Shawn manages our home office, providing IT infrastructure and support, maintaining inventory, ordering and maintaining equipment, and assisting with administrative support as needed.
